Veterans Day Parade in Albany


 Veterans day 2025, Albany celebrates Americas veterans with the biggest parade this side of the Mississippi in honor of those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

  This student (Travis) from LBCC studies November 6 at the Math Cafe, above the library on the Albany campus. The Math Cafe provides students with access and assistance to help with math specifically, however just outside in the Learning Center help is available to a much broader scope of curriculars.  Brady Pedersen, photographer and creator of Brady Pedersen Studio, enjoys one of his favorite hobbies on November 6 in roadrunner territory. Beep beep! Pedersen lives in Portland but enjoys visiting his friends he grew up with and his hometown of Sweet Home as often as he can.  This student enjoys the view and the vibes Fall has to offer. This bench is right outside the Math Cafe above the library on the Albany campus out at LBCC, beep beep!

Photo Story; Odd Meat Challenge

  Kelly Lawson, 39, a second year student at Linn Benton Community College in Albany Oregon and a veteran, finishes his odd meat creation, venison ossobucco. Two students were given odd meats to work with and tasked with creating a dish to use in competition to see who can sell more out of the food truck outside Takena Hall.   Chef Michael, a culinary instructor out at Linn Benton Community College taking a photo of Mr. Lawsons venison ossobucco so he can email students and staff about the challenge and to welcome roadrunner nation to come support and participate in the oddball odd meat challenge. Day one of the odd meat challenge is off to a good start! Students come and get involved the roadrunner way!   Pam McLagan works Thursday October 23, at the Linn-Benton Albany campus library, where they offer an array of different services and friendly encounters. McLagan and her team of librarians are an indispensable asset to students and have much experience on the job and on the campus as students. McLagan is a library specialist and performs many duties during her day-to-day shifts, including answering questions, checking out books and equipment, and stocking book shelves. She has been working in the library for 2 years but before she started this new chapter in her life she served 24 years as an instructor for LBCC. Rhonda Anglin helping a student at the LBCC bookstore on the Albany campus Wednesday October 25th, Rhonda is the operations coordinator (commander and chief) for the bookstore and is in charge of supplying most if not all the goodies located there, from food to clothing and everything in between, she has been doing it for 23 years and is a proud Grandma to four fantastic...
